You must always go beyond appearances and superficial things in order to make a discovery from which knowledge and understanding can come up. Sandra Santos’ work perspires through all pores, in every image, inducing us to observe the world with a greater attentiveness and to find out new meanings, thus leading to transformation.
It is possible to reach colours and reliefs, with the touch of the mind and soul, so that sensibility can recall memories and stimulate sensations and dreams.
For all these reasons, this work appeals for reflection, simultaneously making possible a multitude of perceptions. That is why it held the attention of the São Paulo Steel Company (COSIPA) whose industrial steel-making processes also rest on transformation of elements.
And for the company, the search does not comprise only the making of steel, but also the encounter of citizenship in each project and the social action which promotes education and consciousness, as well as culture, just as the art of Sandra Santos.
